HISTORY

Rotten Pepper was founded on the banks of the cherokee river in 1911 by Curtis Jones. Curtis' time has long passed and the rotten pepper company is headed up by cutis's great grandson Oklahoma. Oklahoma Likes to keep the family history of making paper from the excess peppers the the garden produced. Things have changed since 1911 but all for the best. Rotten Pepper is a vertically integrated paper mill that adheres to the needs of nature. The mills run by Rotten Pepper have been run on green power since 1970. We prove that the best can still be ethical in.

HOW WE GOT OUR NAME

It's been rumored that Granny Jones is the soul reason for Rotten Peppers name. Officially titled in 1920, Granny was standing in line at the local bank minding her own business. Then all of a sudden an angry bank patron starts shouting about the "Rotting Paper" and how he needs some. The man was calmed but granny could for the life of her come up with why this crazy man needed some "Rotting Pepper." In her confused state granny return homes to Curtis and tells the story. Curtis being the smart man he is catches on to granny's story. Curtis said to granny, "people from Georgia tend to talk like they have rocks in their mouths, and all that time you thought he was talking about Rotting Pepper he was really saying Writing Pepper. With the Eureka the name was born, it just so happen to fit in with whole excess pepper paper farm thing. Talk about a happy coincidence.
